I started scrapbooking about 22 years ago in South Africa where supplies were scarce and my imagination had to be big. In the early days I did lots of paper piecing and cut out all my letters for titles by hand! I attended a scrapbook conference in Johannesburg and met my biggest inspirer, Becky Higgins. I still enjoy her simple style of scrapping. Scrapbooking is my sanity drug! I enjoy travelling so always have lots of photos to work with.   I love the colours in Lindys layout, they really give the feeling of summer holidays, sea and sun!  The little chipboard car that's so cute is included in the January Scrap box kit that Lindy has used to make her layout...   Aqua (or is it turquoise, take your pick...) and the gentle sandy colour appear directly opposite each other on the colour wheel, making them complimentary colours.   Complimentary colours used together add a feeling of energy and zing to a page.  If you want to tone this down a little, pick two complimentary colours, but use one...

Our final set of pages from guest scrapbooker Ginny are definitely all about the photos....  When you've taken photos to be proud of, theres no rule that says you have to add a whole paragraph of writing to back them up...  Indeed, a ton of writing on these pages would have detracted from the beautful images of the buildings... None the less, Ginny has still included the important information... place, date, and a short description.... Sometimes you just have to let the photos do the talking....
