September 2022 Wk3 scrapbook page layout

This month's guest scrapbooker is Kishwar.  All of her pages this month are inspired by layout ideas from The Weekly Sketch (click here to get yours each week, its free!)

There are many ways to decorate your scrapbook pages without making them too bumpy.  Why would you want to avoid bumpy pages?  Firstly, when you add raised emebellishments to your designs, you run the risk of damaging the photos on the opposing page when the album is closed.

Secondly, bumpy embellishments take up a lot of room in an album once bound.  This can mean the pages don't lie flat, and limits the number you can add to each binding.

On this double page layout, Kishwar has taken advantage of the flower design on one of the printed papers in the Scrapbox kit.  She's cut them out and stuck them around her photos as a frame.  She has a beautifully decorated page, but no extra thickness to add to her album.

Lindas tip:  Look at your printed papers and think about how you can best use the designs on them on your pages.  Using printed papers saves you money on embellishments and reduces the thickness of your albums so you can fit more in each one.

These pages were completed using a selection of items from the Memories and Photos September 2022 scrapbox kit, (see the whole kit here)
