....don't shoot me, I'm going to be controversial...

This is something I've been thinking about for a while, I'd like to know what you think....

Are we spending too long on the artistic creation of our pages?

If you're anything like me, you'll look at Pinterest and be excited by these wonderful art pages.  You know the ones I mean, with one photo and lots of paint and textures, or hours of fussy cutting?

I feel as though we have lost sight of the original reason we make scrapbooks.  There seems to be so much hype around these beautiful one photo pages, with multi medium backgrounds.

Have we forgotten the most important part, the stories behind the images, to have pleasure remembering ourselves, but to pass on to our families and friends?

Its the stories that make our images precious to future generations....

What do you think?  Do reply and let me know.

PS - please don't take offence if you love creating the 'art pages', I think there's a place for both styles in this creative world.
