Making the most of your time

Isn't it funny how a day of housework seems like forever but head off to a workshop or retreat and suddenly everything seems to wizz past and you're on your way home again.

I was wandering around the craft room at my last retreat talking to everyone, and so many people said something along the lines of:

"I wish I had more time to scrapbook."

I've been thinking about how I help you with this dilemma, and as we're into a fresh new year, here's a few suggestions on making the most of your precious crafting time.

  • Declutter your craft bags before you start to prepare.
  • Choose your projects in advance.
  • Use a page planner to sketch layouts and photos, journalling ideas, and colour schemes.
  • Prepare papers, embellishments, and photos.
  • Use pre bought kits to save time colour matching and choosing embellishments.
  • Check tools are in working order – use a tick list to ensure you take what you need.
  • Set a realistic goal, considering the time available, and don’t take too much.
  • Charge any devices you plan to use and check cables.
  • Don't strive for perfection; embrace the imperfections in your scrapbook, it makes it more ‘you’.
