Hi my name is Sally, and I’m from Bath. Well actually a very small village called Wellow but no one has ever heard of that!
I have 2 grown up children who no longer live at home, so I now have a craft room. I work as a care co-ordinator in the NHS, mostly from home since the pandemic which is great for me as I don’t drive so it saves me a lot of travel time.
I have always ‘scrapbooked’ simply by adding writing to pictures in a photo album. A few years ago I joined some friends at a monthly meeting where we all get together and create pages using all sorts of things from just scissors and glue to templates and dies etc.
It’s a lot of fun and we enjoy a shared lunch on Saturday and have even ordered a takeaway when we stay late into the evening. It’s a really great thing to do because we hire the village hall from Friday evening all day Saturday and sometimes Sundays too, so we can take and leave all our kit there and come and go as we please.
When I’m not scrapping I like to enjoy my lovely garden which my husband and I have just revamped. I also meet up with friends every week for coffee and a catch up {and cake of course}
I’m a member of the rock choir so attend weekly rehearsals and regularly perform at care homes and local fetes, and we recently sang in Wells Cathedral which was an experience.
My husband and I like to cruise which is a great opportunity to visit lots of different places and the photography is always interesting, my husband is used to me taking photos of the floors, sand, doors and gates to use as infill etc while he is busy snapping the beautiful building and landscapes.
