I was introduced to scrapbooking by my daughter in law who made us an album for our 30th wedding Anniversary. I got the bug and used to travel to Milton Keynes from Essex for workshops.
I love seeing my pages come to life and being able to leaf through my albums remembering those special moments. At Linda's retreats I have a reputation of being a messy scrapbooker needing all the space I can get, and my craft room reflects that too, but at least it is my mess!!
I also make most of the cards for family and friends and have also taken over making and selling cards at church. I have loads of interests including genealogy, my Christian Faith as well as other crafts such as knitting and sewing. I also spend as much time as I can with my grandchildren.
As I said before I live in Essex, where I worked as a Health visitor, retiring in 2008. My husband and I have been married for 48 years and we have 3 children. Our son is a vicar in Nottingham and they have 3 children. Our oldest daughter is a Paediatric nurse and lives with her husband in Cheltenham and the youngest lives near here and has 3 children. She recently celebrated her 40th and we went over the dome to celebrate.
I can’t find many decent pictures of me on my own!! This was an item off my ‘bucket list’ and it felt like a great achievement. The sun was in my eyes so it looks as If I had my eyes closed! The photos I take are usually of places, though I try to make sure that there is a bit of context such as a name plate otherwise it is very easy to forget where they were taken!!
