Introducing our January 2022 Guest Scrapbooker - Lindy Nock

Posted by Linda Gransby on

I started scrapbooking about 22 years ago in South Africa where supplies were scarce and my imagination had to be big. In the early days I did lots of paper piecing and cut out all my letters for titles by hand! I attended a scrapbook conference in Johannesburg and met my biggest inspirer, Becky Higgins. I still enjoy her simple style of scrapping.

Scrapbooking is my sanity drug! I enjoy travelling so always have lots of photos to work with. I also enjoy taking photos of every day things like flowers, plants, spiderwebs, etc and am always aware of what I can photograph around me.

I enjoy other types of paper crafting too and enjoy making mini albums. I also write to a few penpals and crafting bits and pieces for them to include in my letters.

I’ve recently started cross stitching again and got a sewing machine for Christmas and would like to start incorporating stitching into some of my pages (very out of the box for me)!

I’ve been living in England for just over 2 years and currently live in Surrey. I’m still in awe of how much I can get here and my stash is building rapidly! I haven’t been on any retreats in England yet and currently  scrapbook alone. I used to scrap with a group of friends when my children were little which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I haven’t featured in any magazines or blogs (yet)!   (Editor - Until now!)
