I do talk about this quite a lot, but forgive me as I indulge again.....
As crafters, we all love to create beautiful and complicated layouts, with embellishments, pull out flaps etc etc.... Ginny very clean and simple Christmas page reminded me that I have a number of Christmasses still to scrapbook.....
As documenters of our family and friends lives and loves, the important part of an album page are that its actually been made....
So many times I find myself overthinking a layout, and then putting it to one side until I can 'do it justice' ie make it a perfect layout.....
The crucial part of what we do as memory album makers is to capture the memories... its simple but hard at the same time....
So I encourage you to 'Just do it' as the famous sport shoe maker says.... Print the photos, document the five 'W's' on your page* and save the memories for your loved ones to enjoy.... Better on the page than in the packet
The 5 'W's'- Who (is in the photo)
- When (date)
- Where (location)
- What (is going on)
- Why (is this 'thing happening)
bonus points if you can add an anedote that isnt apparent from the photos.....
