September 2025 Meet our guest designer Sandra

I live near Cambridge, but I’m originally from Yorkshire. I started scrapbooking in 2004. My husband’s mum had died the previous year, and he'd brought home the family photos.
At first, they just sat in a drawer, then early 2004 I read an article about scrapbooking and preserving heritage photos and decided that’s what was needed for the drawer full of photos.
I visited a craft fair where there was a scrapbook stall came away having bent the plastic with everything I needed. Since then, I have scrapped our family photos holidays graduations safari holidays etc. My next big task is to scan and scrapbook my side’s family photos having lost my mum last year.
I like to take photos of wildlife; birds; animals preferably in their natural surroundings and my 3 cats. I enjoy going to Haworth and photographing the moors too.
My other hobbies are needle felting, card making, knitting, crochet and sewing. Enjoy watching TV programmes like Springwatch, Yorkshire Vets All Creature Great and Small and Call the Midwife.
I enjoy crafting cos it gives me an escape from all that is going on and I can be engrossed in a project and a afternoon has gone before I've realised it lol....
I have a stall at a local Farmers Market where I sell my handmade card and needle felted products to raise funds for a local Animal Rescue (all my cats were rehomed from them).
The photo is of me and my hubby and our safari guide in Samburu in July 2018
